Well, I decided to do this one because it defines me as a cowgirl. I'm from Oklahoma and Alberta, Canada. When I was growing up, I remember my Grandma and Daddy always saying (and still saying), 'Cowgirls don't cry'. Especially when I started riding horses at VERY young. To look at things in a positive way, to pick yourself up with dignity. I never realized how much that phrase really stuck with me until that boy broke my heart. That is, until I heard this song. It KILLED me inside, but I picked myself up and moved on no matter how hard it was. And I'm a better person because of it. You know what they say, a cheater is always a cheater. I'm fine if I'm just with my horses anyways! And yes, those are real bruises from falling off the horses. Jeez, what we do for the love of ridin'!
